Create in Place - Photography During the time of Covid-19

2020 has been a wild ride. The pandemic is just one of the many challenges we are facing. I’m happy to say that I can still create images during this time.

One of my biggest strengths is creating images out of nothing. During my BFA studies I spent a semester remaking big production images with as little budget and resources as possible. Those exercises have continued to help me work through all sorts of creative challenges. I’ve updated my site to reflect what is possible now. I’m approaching the pandemic like a puzzle that inspires me to get creative with what I have on hand and figure it out.

Available Shooting Spaces

I’m lucky to live in the San Francisco Bay Area where I have just about any type of location within driving distance. While there are some location restrictions due to Covid-19 I still have access to a lot. Both my studio space and garden area offer a lot. Including various sitting areas, green grass, redwood trees, a garden, and an interior cottage with a clean, minimalist, California feel.

My Mission

My mission is to create images that empower women.

Working with women owned brands that are ethically and environmentally doing their best. By creating product and lifestyle or studio portrait images that are polished, show texture and lit with extraordinary attention to detail when it comes to both lighting and composition.

I grew up immersed in learning to see light. From taking figure drawing classes to spending time in the office with my parents, light was the center of everything. So I approach my work with an immersive focus on how light and form work together. Knowing that with the right light I can take a simple object and tell a whole story.
