Sarah & Brian are not really the type to enjoy being photographed, since they are both camera-shy this was their first time having professional photos taken. However, odds were in their favor, we had nice weather, a cool park to photograph in, and they were in love, so naturally adorable together.
I gave a little direction here and there, but my main objective for engagement photo dates is to let the couple do their thing, so I let them talk, joke around, high-five, kiss, hold hands, and we walk around and explore.
Here are some of my favorites from the session.
These lush hydrangea just happened to be growing in the shape of a heart, I took a photo and included it in their final image delivery so they could remember one of the little details from the day. We also explored an old abandoned green house, since my first explorations into photography I have been fascinated by abandoned spaces. Having a couple that actually wants to go to these kinds of places made my day.
When we first saw these bull frogs we thought they were fake, they sat like statues, huge and perfectly still. Brian had to pet one, that’s when we figured out for sure that they were not fake.
The day that Brian asked Sarah to marry him they went for a walk here, with their family. She had no idea what was about to happen, as they stood in this gazebo Brian popped the question. On our photo shoot adventure they played out the scene again as they told me about the proposal.
